Pakistan’s Ministry of Federal Education is set to launch an ambitious project aimed at equipping school children with advanced skills in emerging technologies. This initiative, named “Emerging Technology Centers,” will be implemented in 350 schools across Islamabad, Azad Jammu Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan regions.

The tech centers project is part of the government’s strategic plan to transform Pakistan into a global IT hub. By integrating cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and data analytics into the school curriculum, the centers will serve as catalysts for introducing young students to the digital tools and skills essential for their future careers.

“The establishment of these tech centers is a major step towards preparing our students for the challenges and opportunities of the digital age,” said an official from the Ministry of Federal Education. “We aim to develop skills and capacity in the IT sector, which will not only prepare students for a digital future but also enhance Pakistan’s capabilities and exports in the IT sector.”

The centers will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and resources to provide students with hands-on experience in AI, VR, and data analytics. Moreover, the project aims to address the current skill gaps in the IT sector by producing a pool of highly skilled individuals who can contribute to the nation’s economic growth.

The Ministry of Federal Education’s project is expected to have far-reaching impacts, not only in terms of educational outcomes but also in enhancing the country’s export potential and overall technological capability.
