Punjab University Announces Winter Vacation

Punjab University has announced that its teaching departments, institutes, centers, constituent colleges, and schools will remain closed from Monday, December 23, 2024, to Friday, December 27, 2024.

According to a notification issued by the Office of the Registrar on December 16, 2024, all academic activities will resume on Monday, December 30, 2024.

The notification further stated that administrative staff, including those in teaching departments, institutes, centers, constituent colleges, and schools, will continue to work as usual during the break.

The notice, signed by Registrar Dr. Ahmad Islam, has been forwarded to relevant officials, including deans, principals, directors, and administrative heads, to ensure compliance and necessary action.

The winter break comes as part of the university’s academic calendar, providing students and faculty with a brief pause during the cold season. Administrative operations, however, will continue uninterrupted to ensure the smooth functioning of university affairs.

The notification has been circulated across campuses, including Gujranwala, Jhelum, and Pothohar, ensuring that all concerned departments and offices are informed of the scheduled winter holidays.
