Official LAT Date Announced by HEC for LLB Admissions
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced the Law Admission Test (LAT) for students seeking admission to the five-year undergraduate LLB program. This test is mandatory for those aiming to enrol in HEC or Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) recognized institutions.
Eligible candidates include students who have completed or are awaiting results of their Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent Grade 12 education.
The LAT will assess candidates through various sections, including essays, personal statements, and multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering English, general knowledge, Islamic studies, Pakistan studies, Urdu, and basic math. The test carries a total of 100 marks, with a passing requirement of 50 marks.
The exam is scheduled for January 12, 2025, and will be conducted in major cities across the country. Candidates must register online through the HEC portal by the deadline of December 30, 2024, at 4 PM. Roll number slips will be issued one week before the test date.
Applicants are required to bring their original CNIC, passport, or B-form, along with their academic documents, to the exam centre. The test fee is non-refundable and can be paid through the 1Link/1Bill system.
