After an addition of Quran subject, total marks increased from 1100 to 1200

As per the orders of the Punjab government, an additional subject of Quran was added in the matric syllabus. The subject contains 100 marks i.e., 50 marks in 9th grade and 50 in 10th grade. This increases the overall marks of matric program from 1100 to a total of 1200. The increase in marks will be applicable from 2023.

The Quran subject includes the translation of the Holy Quran and subsequent assessments related to it. This step is taken to promote the transcendent knowledge of Quran among the young generation and encourage them to spend their lives according to the principles proposed by Islam.
