Benazir Scholarship Launched for Baloch Students
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced the launch of the Benazir Bhutto Scholarships for students in the province.
Speaking at a conference organized by the Department of Social Welfare in Quetta, he emphasized the critical role of partnerships between the government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in driving sustainable development and addressing societal challenges.
The Chief Minister highlighted the significance of public-private collaborations in implementing welfare initiatives to improve residents’ quality of life. He also acknowledged the pervasive issue of corruption and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to introducing essential reforms.
Addressing unethical practices, such as the use of fake degrees in merit-based recruitment for the education sector, he called on citizens to uphold accountability and integrity.
Bugti announced plans to host an annual NGO conference to strengthen partnerships and foster mutual understanding. He urged active participation in combating corruption and promoting transparency and trust.
Focusing on youth empowerment, the Chief Minister unveiled initiatives to support young entrepreneurs. Through a collaboration with Akhuwat, the government will provide interest-free loans to educated youth, enabling them to develop and implement innovative projects.
