Sindh changes Matric and FSc exam schedule

Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards, Muhammad Ali Malkani, announced changes to the annual matric and intermediate exam schedule. Starting next year, exams will be conducted in March instead of the summer season.

Speaking at the Karachi Inter Board facilitation center inauguration, Malkani emphasized aligning Sindh’s schedule with the rest of the country. This adjustment aims to ensure uniformity and ease for students across provinces.

When asked why exams were previously held in summer, Malkani explained he had discussed the matter with the education minister. They decided to reschedule annual exams to March starting next year.

Earlier this year, several students fainted during exams amid load-shedding at various centers, prompting a schedule review.

The minister also announced plans to transition to technology-based assessments to reduce human involvement. By 2025, Sindh will adopt an e-marking system for examinations.
