AIOU Launches E-Commerce Skills Online Courses
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has teamed up with BF Technologies to offer new online certificate courses in e-commerce.
Students can now enroll in programs covering various e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Daraz, Alibaba, Shopify, and Facebook. These courses aim to equip learners with practical skills to succeed in the digital marketplace.
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood said the new e-commerce courses are designed to cultivate a business-oriented mindset among students. He believes these programs will not only improve students’ and their families’ lives but also contribute to the country’s economic growth. Applications for the e-commerce courses close on September 5th.
In addition to the e-commerce programs, AIOU is also accepting applications for various undergraduate and graduate degree programs for the Fall 2024 semester. More details about these can be found on the university’s website.
In related news, the Sindh Government has pledged to provide students with Google IT Certification for free. As part of the initiative, the government itself will be covering the Google certification free for qualifying IT students.
The news came after a meeting was held with Google’s team in Islamabad, where an agreement was reached to certify students who pass the requested tests.
Sindh Governor Tessori’s program seeks to enhance IT students’ skills through Google certifications. By obtaining these credentials, students can access online platforms and potentially build thriving businesses, generating substantial income.
