Punjab to Teach IT, Health Sciences, and Agriculture in Schools
The Punjab government is starting technical education in public schools across the province with the new academic year. This program will introduce technical subjects at the middle and high school levels to provide students with practical skills for future success.
Khalid Nazir Wattoo, Punjab’s Secretary for School Education, has instructed the printing of textbooks tailored for this initiative. Education officials across the province have been asked to report the number of students enrolling in middle and high school technical education programs.
The curriculum will include agriculture, information technology, health sciences, and fashion design. These areas aim to prepare students for real-world challenges and career paths.
Wattoo highlighted that the goal is to equip students with the skills they need to thrive in professional environments. By integrating technical education into public schools, the Punjab government seeks to empower students to succeed in their chosen fields.
