After the Sindh government announced an extension of summer holidays, students in the federal capital are now waiting to hear if the federal government will also extend the summer break.
Previously, the Federal Education Department had announced that all federal schools would be closed from June 10 to July 31 due to high temperatures. According to the notification, schools are scheduled to reopen on August 1.
At the moment , there is no announcement about extending summer vacations in the federal capital. The federal government might review the holiday schedule depending on the ongoing weather conditions.
It is pertinent to mention that Sindh government had decided to extend summer vacations by 14 days for both public and private schools due to the ongoing severe weather conditions.The Sindh Education Department announced that all private and government schools will stay closed until August 14, with classes resuming on August 15.
