Disciplinary Measures Implemented for Teachers Absent from Exam Duties
Rawalpindi Educational Board Chairman, Muhammad Adnan Khan, has called for an inquiry under the PEEDA Act against 207 teachers who failed to carry out their examination duties for the Intermediate Second Annual Supplementary exams.
This decision follows the teachers’ refusal to fulfill their assigned exam duties, which are considered essential services according to the Punjab government’s directives. The teachers, appointed as supervisory staff for the Intermediate Second Annual exams, did not report to their respective exam centers by the October 21 deadline.
In response to the chairman’s recommendation, the Commissioner of Rawalpindi has directed the Chief Executive Officers of all districts to initiate proceedings under the PEEDA Act 2006.
