The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced new timings for educational institutions across Islamabad.
In a notification on Monday, the FDE announced that the new timings will take effect on August 5, when the institutes reopen following the summer vacation.
Following are the new timings:
Earlier on Sunday, the Federal Ministry of Education extended the summer vacations in Islamabad schools and colleges till August 4 due to the hot weather.
“Due to the intense hot and humid weather in the district Federal Capital, it has been decided to extend summer vacation in ICT schools/colleges till August 4, 2024,” said a notification.
It is pertinent to mention that the provincial governments of Sindh and Balochistan have also announced an extension of summer break. Educational institutes across both the provinces will reopen on August 15.
Following the announcement by Islamabad, Sindh, and Balochistan, students across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab are also hoping for similar news. However, government officials haven’t shared any updates in this regard.
